Link and Launch
We are excited to introduce a new program available at Kedron State High School for our recently graduated year 12 students – Link and Launch! Rochelle Laracy has recently been appointed to the Link and Launch Coordinator position and is looking forward to meeting and connecting with past students who are not currently engaged in further study, training or employment. Kedron SHS joins 29 other schools throughout Queensland to deliver the Link and Launch service in 2022.
If you know someone who finished Year 12 in the last few years that could benefit from the program (they do not need to have attended Kedron SHS to access the service), Rochelle can help to identify transition options and assist them to navigate the pathway into study or work. This can include - help to find a job, preparation for interviews, get an apprenticeship or traineeship, enrol in TAFE or even find alternative entry into university. She can also chat through options and help figure out where you want to go if they are feeling completely lost about where to go from here!
Rochelle is located in Senior School at Kedron State High School. You can call Rochelle on 36303338 or email rlara0@eq.edu.au to arrange a time to discuss. For more information, please visit the Link and Launch Webpage.
Student Wellness Hub
The Kedron State High School
Wellness Hub is guided by the ongoing commitment to
Kedron SHS’s four core values of Traditional,
Academic, Disciplined and Diverse, enriching our students’ lives each
day.
There are times when our young
people struggle, need a listening ear or more seriously require a mental health
status evaluation and possible referral to external agencies.
Other times when they are
questioning their identity, life direction, career aspiration, friendships and
relationships, gender, sexuality concerns, substance use, mental and physical
health and development, stress and study demands and more.
These are the times the Kedron SHS Wellness
Hub team can provide professional support.
We have expertise including personal and career counselling, mental
health support, understanding of inclusive processes and adjustments to achieve
academic outcomes, family support and connections with external support
agencies, for example:
