Year 7 camp: Our year 7 students get the opportunity to annually attend the Maranatha Recreation Camp – Yandina. The year 7 camp is a transformative experience where students embark on outdoor adventures, forge lifelong friendships, and develop crucial life skills. Away from the distractions of everyday life, students immerse themselves in nature, conquering challenges that foster teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. The camp nurtures independence and responsibility as students learn to care for themselves and each other, creating lasting memories and laying the foundation for personal growth.
Year 9 camp is an important transition program for students entering the middle schooling years. It aims to broaden student's experiences, develop as a team, interact with new people, develop leadership capabilities and for students to demonstrate understanding of The Kedron Way. Year 9 camp is held annually at YMCA Camp Warrawee creates lasting memories and build strong foundations for students to build upon.
Year 11 camp represents not just an opportunity for the newest Senior School cohort to reaffirm bonds necessary for a successful senior phase but also to help develop the leadership skills necessary to be young school leaders. Through our long and fruitful relationship with Maroon Dam Outdoor Education centre, an Ed QLD outdoor education organisation, we use year 11 camp to help determine our student leaders, unify cohorts and maintain Kedron's greatest attribute, its culture. Year 11 camp is almost universally acclaimed as one of Kedron's premier events.
