School Social Workers
The School Social Worker responds to practical, social and emotional problems impacting on young people in education today. Community Connections is a Nundah-based community organisation that supports young people in the context of their family and other significant relationships. We encourage working together with families and parents, but respect the right of the young person to determine how and with whom they work.
The School Social Worker provides a confidential and voluntary service. There are limits to confidentiality when there is a danger to the young person or to another person. Kedron State High School will be informed that a student is engaged in social work support. Referrals can be made by contacting the Wellness Team on (07) 3630 3333 or by emailing 2039_wellnesshub@eq.edu.au.
