To provide a centre where school community can collaborate and participate utilising mobile technologies;

To facilitate connectedness to global information networks and digital worlds;

To enhance learning by capitalising on the social nature of learning through providing opportunities for:

  • active and interactive participation
  • collaborative project work
  • information retrieval and sharing
  • discussion and presentation
  • production of new knowledge
  • teacher and student led activities
  • local and global networks for connection with experts
  • personalised learning

Physical resources

Collections: fiction, poetry, short stories, biographies, graphic novels, audio books, select ebooks, reference, non-fiction, magazines, journals, digital resources, hanging art gallery student work, Kedron Archives materials, laptop bank, games, wii and ds games.

Spaces: reading, research, multi-media rooms, group studies, desktop computer classroom - capacity 165 students.

Equipment: e-readers, laptop bank, flipcamcorder bank, colour copier/scanner, mobile IWB tablets

APAFT - Australian Public Affairs, full text; access to journal articles on the social sciences and humanities; ideal for Years 11 & 12; contains Australian material.
