Kedron State High School is an Independent Public School that caters primarily for students within the local school catchment area.  Kedron SHS symbolises and exemplifies excellence in education each and every day.  The school offers a unique and enriching learning environment for all of our students and aims to surround students with possibility and opportunity.

The Kedron State High School catchment area includes parts of the following suburbs:

·         Lutwyche
·         Windsor
·         Wilston
·         Alderley

·         Wooloowin
·         Kedron
·         Bowen Hills
·         Hamilton
·         Stafford
The school is enrolment managed through a gazetted Enrolment Management Plan (EMP) effective from January 2010. The details of this EMP are available from the Department of Education, Training and Employment website.

While many of the students at Kedron State High School come from the local primary schools within the catchment area, each year we receive hundreds of applications from students who live outside our catchment area.  In 2017, Kedron welcomed students from more than 54 different primary schools. 
Kedron State High School accepts applications for the following school year from the first day of Term 2, this year the application date is April 18.  Applications are assessed in order of receipt in line with our schoolEnrolment Management Plan.
The school offers a number of unique experiences and opportunities that cater for students in ways that differ from many local public and private schools, they include:
·         Infuse STE(A)M and Music programs
·         Our large instrumental music program
·         Extension classes in English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities
·         Robotics club
·         Accelerated learning for Year 7 and 8 students

Enrolments for Grade 7 open on day one of Term 2. The process commences with the completion of an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. Enrolments are only taken from Grade 6 students who will start Grade 7 the following academic year.
