Most of our International students live in homestays arranged by Kedron’s Homestay Coordinator. All homestay providers caring for students under 18 must have a “Blue Card” showing that there is no record of behaviour that could be harmful to children.

When selecting a host family for our students, we look for a warm, friendly and caring atmosphere. While it is important that all homes are clean and adequately equipped, homestays vary widely according to age, size, style, and distance from school. Host families may consist of two parents, a single parent, young children, teenage children or no children. Each family has a unique character and the Homestay Coordinator tries to match students to the families that will best suit their needs.

Kedron’s International Student Program staff regularly visit our homestays and meet with the students to check that they are receiving adequate care and supervision. Students are able to contact the Student Coordinator or Homestay Coordinator at all times for emergencies.
